All of us at Brookstone Builders are happy to announce that we have completed a repurposing project at the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
This project involved the partial renovation of an existing structure at 203 Riverside Street within the university’s Lowell campus, and repurposing the space for trade education and research. The scope-of-work included demolition, abatement, mechanical and electrical work, plumbing, office and bathroom fit-ups, masonry work, finishes, and a small amount of site work. Other parts of the building remained occupied and fully-functional during construction.
Dinisco Design of Boston served as the project’s architects.
“We enjoyed working with U Mass Lowell on this project,” said Brookstone Builder’s President Paula Scales. “Our crews are well-suited to working in-and-around occupied space, which is often part-and-parcel with renovation work, and which requires enhanced safety, noise
control and dust abatement protocols.”
A woman-owned enterprise, Brookstone Builders, Inc. was founded in 1984. The company provides commercial, industrial, and design-build solutions throughout northern New England, and has also been involved in a wide range of specialty and renovation projects.
